A Mosaic Project at Aquebogue Elementary School

Aquebogue Elementary School Creates Recycled Tile Mosaic                                                   Spring 2007

Crushed tiles from donated sources contributed to this huge mosaic now sited in the cafeteria at the school. All 430 students worked together to collaborate on this project designed by the students and coordinated by visiting artists, Julie Tesser, Marta Baumiller, and art instructor Maureen Ahern. The completed piece is 22 feet long and 4 feet high.
